Askew & Sons is a family-led business with 50 or more employees, from executive decisions and office operations to field leadership. The company was built around a belief in dependable work, accountability and the opportunity for people to build a true career.
Austin followed his father Kevin into road construction and began Askew & Sons with a vision of bringing that experience into a family business. He wanted his dad to join him in building a company that delivers quality roadwork and develops Georgia’s next generation of crews.
That vision continues through a hands-on approach to the work, respect for the people doing it and a commitment to long-term careers.
Kevin brings experience leading some of Georgia’s most time-sensitive roadway projects. His earlier work with C.W. Matthews included leadership during the I-85 bridge-collapse response and other significant transportation projects.
That prior-employer experience informs his approach at Askew & Sons: plan carefully, coordinate the work, hold the team accountable and pass practical knowledge to the next generation. It is Kevin’s professional background, distinct from the projects contracted by Askew & Sons.
The family believes workers deserve a chance to learn, develop their skills and build a lasting career. Askew & Sons combines experienced leadership with opportunities for entry-level crew members, equipment operators, field supervisors and office professionals.
